Hair Regrowth Products
Hair regrowth products fall into three categories, natural (herbal only), conventional drugs (containing only pharmaceuticals) and combination treatments ( a combination of natural compounds and conventional drugs).
The hair regrowth product that may be best for you is going to be determined by several factors including which type of treatment you feel would suit you and whether its effective or not.
You see you have to consider that hair loss and hair growth are two completely different processes. Hair growth and hair loss occur at the same time and hair loss happens when hair regrowth is just not strong enough to compensate for the loss. So you are left with two ways to deal with this to promote growth – reduce the level of hair loss to compensate and/or increase the rate of hair growth.
It’s important that I mention this because the way you will also treat your hair loss is very much dependent on your sex. The fact is that male hair loss and female hair loss differ. Bottom line is that hair loss in men is nearly always genetically related and hair loss in women is usually related to hormonal imbalance and/or stress.
This means that hair loss treatment is going to have to take a different course, depending on your sex first. Any hair regrowth product that is worth it’s salt is going to take this into consideration.
This is one of the major reasons why you will see such a large number and diversity of hair growth products. There are obviously products that cater for and to each category that I mentioned above so what are the hair regrowth products that are going to best suit me?
Right, lets get down to the business of getting your hair to grow back!
Natural Hair Loss Products
I’m skeptical of ‘natural’ only products – Now don’t get me wrong here. The reason I say this is that there are ‘so many’ competing products out there that it’s hard to accurately determine which is going to be the best hair growth product for you to buy – in other words the one that is going to have measurable results.
One of the best natural hair regrowth products that has an excellent reputation is Procerin as this is one of the few ‘natural’ products that has taken a ‘scientific method’ approach to combating hair loss and promoting hair growth at the same time – naturally. Now as with all hair loss products getting a Procerin review makes more sense to see what it contains and how it acts etc before buying. However in my opinion it is more suitable for female alopecia (female hair loss).
The primary reason why I say this is that it acts in a ‘less aggressive’ manner to promote hair regrowth than some of the other products available. However having said that there are many customers that are very happy with the results. Otherwise it wouldn’t be so popular.
Semi natural Products
Again as I said before about natural hair growth products there are many products within this category. Not all work, but many do – and that is important. The reason why I prefer this category to the others is that there is a middle way solution. To be honest not everybody wants to be pumped full of drugs and many people are rightly skeptical of treatments that use conventional drugs only. The important fact to consider here is that there must be again some scientific method’ applied. This means that the hair regrowth product that you chose has to demonstrate with evidence that it does reduce hair loss and promote hair regrowth. Furthermore this evidence must also be common amongst customers.
One of the ‘few’ hair regrowth products that ‘checks’ all the boxes in this category is Provillus which has had incredible success in treating both female and male hair loss as it is also one of the few products that recognizes that male and female hair loss treatment needs to be treated differently for maximum effectiveness. There’s many a Provillus review that sings the praises of the product but there is one thing that you may need to consider and that is that while Provillus is very effective, in severe cases of hair loss something stronger is often needed.
Conventional drug treatments for hair loss.
This is my least preferred route of treatment but in order to give you a balanced view it must be included. The reason why I feel this way is that this method aggressively treats and reverses the hair loss. Now I know that this is your aim to have a healthy flowing mane of hair BUT sometimes the side effects must be considered.
The fact is that some of the conventional drugs have specific side effects warnings and this is for good reason. Additionally, many, if not most, of the conventional drugs available are for men and can only be obtained by proscription.
Propecia is one of them. To be honest for men it’s fantastic drug – It will promote rapid, sustainable and measurable hair regrowth. However in some cases it also produces lethargy and other side effects. One side effect of all conventional drugs is that as soon as you stop taking them the hair loss recurs and often more aggressively than before – So bottom line if you start this process you have to look at it long term.
The other reason why I’m not so sure about this category is that some of the drugs are so powerful that the side effects for pregnant women can be disastrous – hence the need for a proscription from a doctor.
I would strongly suggest therefore that when you consider which hair regrowth products to chose from look at the natural and semi natural options first.
